I’m Emily.
Children are our future. I am passionate about helping them develop and learn. I firmly believe that all children can learn, even those with delays and developmental disorders. We (as those working with children) just need to know how to teach effectively and alternatively.
Children who have average or above abilities will learn through most programs and activities. Children who are borderline average or below average often struggle and need things to be done differently.
So, what do you do when interactions, play, emotions and conversations breakdown? You need to teach differently, simply, specifically and uniquely. Language Unlocked will equip you to do just this.
I have been a speech pathologist for almost 15 years. In that time, I have seen the number of children with language development difficulties rise. I have also worked with hundreds of educators and witnessed them frustrated by growing therapy waiting lists, rising costs of services and an inability to help as they know the child needs more and can’t access a speech pathologist.
I created Language Unlocked to serve as building a bridge between speech therapy and educators. I believe that now is the time when we need to collaborate more effectively than ever before to help our children.

For every Language Unlocked course registration, we help send a child to school in Uganda for three days including three meals a day, clean water and resources.
