The Beginners PLA Goal Selection Guide

This resource is for all my beginners in guiding you in how to choose a language therapy goal. Sometimes, we can have all our data, however can be overwhelmed with where to start. My goal with the resource is to streamline this thinking process for you and give you actionable steps to have clarity with the language therapy process.

With this resource I am assuming that you have:

  • done a thorough assessment
  • if you have completed a standardised assessment, you have a diagnosis
  • you have analysed the data from your assessment
  • you know what the parent’s goal priorities are (this can be achieved in a goal planning session or in the assessment)

This will save you time and your sanity in therapy planning, when you are just a beginner!
